Kindstrom-Schmoll, Inc. has been in existence since 1954 in Minneapolis, MN when Wally Schmoll and Luke Kindstrom founded the company. After Luke Kindstrom's passing in 1972, the company became family owned and operated. In 1975 Specialty Ingredients Company, a division of Kindstrom-Schmoll, Inc., established headquarters in Sycamore, Illinois to better serve an expanding territory.
Since its inception, the company's goal has been to provide specialty ingredients to the feed industry by representing ingredient manufacturers. During this time, the feed industry was experiencing a demand for more manufacturers representatives and it was the goal of Kindstrom-Schmoll to provide better customer service.
The company was guided by the ideas of Wally Schmoll, who was recognized in the industry as one of the best. The prevailing philosophy over all these years remains the same, that the Customer is Number One. The current company owned and operated by Wally's four sons, Mike, Greg, Dave and Kevin, take pride in continuing to provide quality customer service.
As the industry has changed over the years, Kindstrom-Schmoll and Specialty Ingredients continue to grow in their knowledge of what the industry has to offer. With ongoing changes in nutrition and genetics, our line of ingredients has changed as well. Even though the ingredients have changed over the years, the long-term commitment to customers and ingredient manufacturers has remained constant. Our current product line includes minerals such as phosphates, magnesium oxide, bentonite and sodium bicarbonate. We also offer amino acids, enzymes, pre-biotics, pro-biotics, flavors and palatability aids as well as natural animal health immune response and stress challenge solutions. Technical support is an important aspect of everything we provide.
Our goal to provide the highest quality ingredients remains the same. We are proud of our history and look forward to continuing this established tradition in the future.
