Processing Aid for Animal Feed Production
Myvatex™ AF33 is a blend of salts of fatty acids, distilled succinylated monoglycerides and monoand diglycerides. It is used as a processing aid to improve both the effi ciencies of production as well as nutritional and physical qualities of pelleted and extruded feed. Production costs are reduced by lower energy consumption, increased throughput and a higher percentage of low-cost ingredients used. Product quality is improved by better mixing, optimal cooking and more durable pellet formation. Pellets with a lower water activity are more resistant to spoilage and have improved shelf-life. Optimized cooking in the pre-conditioner increases the gelatinization of starch, plasticizes the proteins and softens the fi bers causing an increase in the nutritional value of the feed.
